Many of you may not know the background behind the making of the Shinigami...and will also noticed that I've touched base on this a couple of times. Shinigami also known as God of Death was designed and crafted by Ohmuro san, instructor and top craftsman in ESP’s Guitar Craft Academy in Tokyo, Japan. He also built the amazing custom “Armor Guitar”.
A star is born:
Ohmuro san was given a base concept, something similar to the “Snake V” which was built to a customer’s order under custom shop, but with the image of Children of Bodom’s album, Hate Crew Deathroll.
The Scythe is the symbolic image of COBHC, so Ohmuro san marries both the Scythe and Skull in this killer guitar. And the Shinigami is born.
